University of Virginia Emily Couric Clinical Cancer Center

The Emily Couric Cancer Center will house outpatient services for adults diagnosed with cancer and will offer comprehensive services patient care, including infusion, imaging, hematology and oncology clinics and state-of-the-art tomotherapy.

The specifications included requirements for radiation shielding; for radio frequency shielding and magnetic shielding of the MRI suite; and for a pneumatic tube system to connect the Center with the University hospital system’s existing pneumatic tube system.
