George Mason University Arlington Campus Phase 2

The second phase of a three-phase 750,000 gsf campus master plan. The project provides a functional and visual link between the 140,000 gsf phase one project, completed in 1997, and a future 350,000 gsf campus building yet to be programmed and designed. All three phases are organized around a landscaped plaza of approximately 40,000 gsf that is placed over a 450-car, 3-level parking garage.  The estimated population of the building with events under way could be as high as 2,700 people. In general, the academic programs here are graduate and professional school programs with a growing undergraduate component. Many undergraduate students attending the Fairfax Campus reside in this building.
